Ladies Room: An Introduction

When thinking about the subject of men and women for this column I thought a lot about communication. I also thought about how and where men might talk about their lives, their relationships and women. In polite society men belonged to men’s clubs. These were “good old boys clubs” with names like; “Locust Valley Polo Club,” “The Creek Beach Club,” “Southampton Tennis Club” or “Glen Cove Men’s Club.”
